Well, the admistrator needs to know the userName of the person who rebooted. The easiest way would be to have that person shutdown (and leave it off) their computer. Then ask the admin to clear any active connections that user might still have.
This method only will work if you don't allow people to share usernames for their Novell logins. IOW, you want to make sure that person (username) truly is not currently logged into the network.
Also, you can tell the admin the name (including full path) of the file that has the faulty lock, and have him/her see who has that file open (again, from the Netware console). Have him clear the connections of any of those users that aren't really logged in.
If you have nightly backups, the data may not all be backed up properly if the server thinks there are open files.
