The simplest method is to get the mobile-phone users to sign up to their providers' email to 'phone services. For instance, I have
fasupport@genie.co.uk (btcellnet) and any emails sent there will appear on my phone (try it if you like!). Vodaphone and Orange both do this.
You can also rig a GSM modem and send text messages directly that way, using the target phone-number. Search for GSM and SMS here as there were a few threads a while ago about this.
