You haven't mentioned what buffer mode is in effect.

I mention this only because it seems to be implicated in a documented REPLACE bug - see Q142397.

I would suggest that you report this as a bug, but given that such reports go into a black hole with NO FEEDBACK whatsoever, you would really be wasting your time.

I admit that I am curious why there can't be several REPLACE commands, especially if buffering IS in use.
