I think you will have to build a cursor or another dbf that holds that count for each group. I don't beleive you can do what you want on the form because the form only knows what it has processed not what it has to yet to do. You get the correct answer in the footer because it has already processed that group and kept track. By putting the count in the header you are asking the form to pre-process the group and it is not capable of doing that. You can by counting each group before you run the form and then have that ready before you run the form.
