Rollback does not restore original values. It restore values as they were before BEGIN transaction. When you change some value inside of begin..end transaction, it will be restored. Otherwise - not. Transaction here is needed to restore the state of the view as it was before tableupdate(), so all changes remain marked as changes in the view in case you use rollback. In such case RollBack has nothing to restoring fields to original values - this could be done only by tablerevert().
