Interesting, isn't it? No os can function without HD space. A have a client that have a server with Linux (RH7) and the only problem was when the disk go to full because the logs grows very much. That server manage all the enterprise. The solution that he found was create some scripts that compress and backup the logs and delete the information that he don´t need any more. After that he put this instruction on the cron daemon to execute every month.

Since that they have not any more troubles.
