If your position is that the tariffs are being imposed due other nations "dumping" steel, I believe you are incorrect. This was a political decision, not an economic one. It was done to win Pennsylvania and West Virgina.

The primary reason that US Steel is failing is "legacy" costs: steel retiree's health and pension costs that were promised when times were good.
