Pleasanton, CA, July 24, 2000 -- ACCPAC International, Inc., a division of Computer Associates' (NYSE: CA) interBiz group, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Software Business Technologies, Inc., known as SBT Accounting Systems (SBT), a leading provider of database accounting solutions. The acquisition, which was approved by SBT shareholders, closed on July 14.
The acquisition of SBT provides ACCPAC with an expanded product line, including a complimentary range of mid-market business management solutions, and a seasoned staff with considerable industry expertise. The transaction also adds more than 1500 resellers, increasing ACCPAC's global base of business partners to more than 5,000, and more than 50,000 registered clients, bringing ACCPAC's registered client base to more than 500,000.
