I would switch to VFP for EDI. You will probably have better luck than with FP 2.6. Information has been difficult to come by for us...but a good place to start is whoever is on the other end...you will have to discuss protocols, etc. that are being used. We have some persistant/permanent connections and other clients that connect through DATAPAC (which I believe is a Canadian network) with which we have 8 virtual circuits available. I am assuming here that you are going to have a server of some type. We use Eicon Technology WAN cards and a variety of other hardware, but I am really not involved in that end of it. The main thing is to find out what medium you are going to be using and getting the hardware required, and then getting the library of functions to control the hardware.
