>>Tom,
>>I got this CD (same offer, same dialog with M$), but I can't use it at work, because it works only if you have CD-ROM attached to your PC. We have bunch of CD-ROM on network server, but not on my workstation, where I have VFP.
>>Did you have same trouble? Do you know any workarounds? I asked M$ Fox suppot, they even did not know that migration CD exists. I tried CD at home, it works fine, but I don't have VFP at home and I prefer to learn VFP at work when I have time.
>>It has something to do with "Autorun", I can see CD root directory, but can't open any folder or file.

>I tried calling on this, but since we just received the latest PATCH to VFP, we originally received VFP in January or Febuary, we would have to buy the CD for the $20.. or so.. Sorry, but in my mind, the best way to convert from FP 2.x to VFP is to redesign from the ground up..

Tony, I think you are right about converting, but this CD has a lot very good staff (including "Mastering VFP") and I see it like very good tool for learning Visual Fox (what I need).
My company purchased VS97 in May and I got CD now free, no questions asked. They actually asked me product ID, only when I called tech support.
Thanks.
Oleg
