Ok, I'll look at that URL. It's not me. Another guy here asked me where MSDE was on our network. I replied we usually install SQL Server on our workstations ( Desktop version of course ) from the SQL Server CD which is "essentially" MSDE. We generally do not use MSDE per se so I didn't know where it would be or even if we have a copy right now. He was trying to do some sort of uninstalling and things went wrong so he wanted to (re)install MSDE on the machine then uninstall it. Honestly I'm not quite sure what happened on the machine in question but it raised the question in my mind about the different "versions" of SQL Server/MSDE and wanted to try to pin down the details. We are currently rnning SQL Server 2K.
