I am using VFP 6 SP 5

I think that Doug is refering to the version of the TreeView Control here and not the version of VFP.

and setting it to Nothing does not work. Is it supposed to be .Nothing. ?

.NULL.

I have been able to clear the drophighlight by setting SelectedItem to .NULL.
