Title:
Updating EXE on the fly
I have an executable running on serveral work stations in our factory. Whenever I need to make a code change, I have to go out, close them all down, copy the new EXE into place and then start them all back up.
Is it possible to build a small EXE that starts the program, then calls the appropriate PRG as necessary always using the lastest version. When I have tried this in the past, I usually get an object error at the workstation, or I am not able to copy the lastest PRG becuase someone has it open.
Is there a good way to accomplish this?
Thanks
