If VB .Net and C# is the way of the future with it's runtime
in the OS, what do you think people would use for APPS that needs
to be enbedded on a PROM?

Systems like TiVo are basically general-purpose PCs with HD, RAM etc. and running Linux. I'm not sure the NT/XP embedded equivalent would benefit from putting VFP etc. on a PROM rather than on a HD.
