The edit preferences are stored in the resource file foxuser.dbf. Changing preferences would affect only currewnt and newly created forms/classes because VFP stores edit preferences for each edited form/class/program, e.t.c.

OK, but is there a way to set the default behavior to show line/position rather than not to show line/position?
