Yes, this is the way our applications are working. We have a table describing the connection to every data module and depending of that connection type the SQL statements are executed in different way: when user is working with native VFP tables the select statement is executing with macro substitution and if it is connection to ODBC data source SQLEXEC function is used. We have shared procedures to make connection, execute statements and disconnect from data source
