Are you trying to do this via remote views in a DBC or with SQL pass-through? If the former, you should be able to use DBGETPROP and DBSETPROP. If you are using SPT (and not using a DBC-bound connection) you can set these properties in your connection string, and use SQLSTRINGCONNECT to open a connection.
