I posted a FAQ that demonstrates how to implement an enhanced GETDIR() using the Shell.Application BrowseForFolder method - the parameters can be adjusted to have it return fully qualified file names rather than folders. A call to Scripting.FileSystemObject with the fully qualified file name will return an FSO file object,
