I had a fully functional ASP.net app written in C# which talked to a VFP Web Service. When I ran it on Netscape 6.2 it looked hosed (positioning was off and style attributes ignored) and the validation controls worked, but did not stop the browser from submitting the form if a rule was violated. Many other people in other NG's agreed.
I found a work around by calling the validate() methods in code then testing the ISValid property to check sucess or failure.
I switched to htmlserver controls and things got a little better, but now I'm giving up cool functionality. Defintely not what I had in mind when I started this project. Netscape may say they are HTML4.0 compatible but it appears not.
