Does anyone know how to change an IIS5 web service from doc/lieteral messaging to RPC style messaging?

I'm trying to find a workaround for bad communication between my VFP7 IIS5 web service and a PHP consumer app. I'm in a bit over my head at the moment, but I'll answer questions to the best of my ability...
