Visual Foxpro received a three paragraph reference in the April 2002 edition of e-Business Advisor. Written by Advisor Technical Editor Steve Caudill, the article is named "(Re)Discover Software Assets".
There is a sidebar to the main article titled "Overlooked Gems in Microsoft Office XP, Visual FoxPro and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server". Visual FoxPro is given a pretty glowing reference.
The article starts as follows:
"Microsoft Visual FoxPro (VFP) has come a long way since its days as a dBASEIII+ superclone. However, I'm not sure everyone's noticed. Too many people relegate Visual FoxPro to a departmental database. They don't realize you can apply just about all of its legendary performance and ease of development to just about any size database project -- using any relational database system as the back end..."
Analysis: Amen.
