That is one of our sister plants! We make some of the Unites States "flavors" for Toyota, the Tacoma truck and Corola passenger car and now the Vibe for Pontiac. We are the only automobile manufacturer in the state of California. Interesting to watch the operation. Toyota teamed up with General Motors 18 years ago at this plant - the first such relationship. Toyota teaches GM how to make cars and GM benifits as do GM customers. Interesting relationship!

The new Pontiac Vibe (cool car I think) was designed by GM, uses a Toyota chassis and is built by Toyota engineers. Monday we start building the new Pontiac Voltz, a right hand steering wheel version of the Vibe. This will be for the Japanese market.
