Provided that you have the unique key in the table, which sometimes is not the case with old systems. :)

Recently I had to build a new VFP 6 app, which was supposed to work with FP 2.5 data from the old (but still working) system. There was no key field suitable for the view, and I had to invent stupid workarounds to make the desired functionality work. :)
