Thats not how I think of it. I think of it like there are multiple syntaxes to one language (the language being the CLR/.NET Framework in general).

To tell you the truth, I avoid array's like the plauge. I'd rather use XML or some object collection, both of which are easy in .NET.

The goal has been to get the power out of the language and put it into the language nutreal framework.
Why have 3 or 4 ways to do the same basic trivial task? Why not teach a developer how to do it the right way in the .NET framework and be confident you just taught a technique that can be applied to work in any syntax and still be comprehendable.
