I see your point now. And so transaction is not a silver bullet solution to data inconsistencies because the moment there is a technical error like for instance computer hangs while tableupdating and you have no alternative but to reset it, then their is no way of restoring the data to its original state. Transaction is just giving you a second chance of updating all involved tables.

Maybe I need to look at Stored Procedures cause updating and restoring is in the server side.
