It can stretch indefinitely. I know the technique - never hit too many people at the same time, and each time the majority will be happy it's not touching them. And those who are hurt at any particular moment will feel very alone. It's been tried and it worked beyond expectations. The only difference is that Milosevic was doing it rudely, with finger-in-your-eye manners, and the opposition had some media outlets which were reaching to more and more people, thanks to some financial help from outside. The media here can't expect any such help, and have to worry about their own finances. The truth will remain obscure.
