To keep it simple I think an app that has only one form (no main.prg) would do for you :

-Create a simple form as top level
-Be sure to add button with

clear events
thisform.release

as click code
(You might want to code that in Form.queryunload as well)
-In form.init code
this.show
read events

Build and run.
