I read the whole thing, Jerry. So very sad. Even worse - now the (collective) media can claim that it has indeed documented and exposed business horrors, including trends.

Here the collection is treated as a joke, and that's about as far is things will go. Meanwhile, the MBAs keep being churned out, all with the mantra of "only profit matters, just don't get caught".

These were the more notorious ones, and that were exposed. Wait until we find out how many other Andersen clients were using similar tricks to hide their debt. And you can be sure that what worked for Andersen and it's clients was done by the others too! tricks that work get around very quickly.
Now these exposed items alone affected well over a million people directly! Where are the voices of those million+ people? No where, that's where! Firstly, there's no real meaningful modes of redress available to them, given their present pecuniary status. Secondly, they are too busy working for minimum wage to meet their obligations. Ironic that the golden-parachuted CEOs don't know the meaning of the word "obligations" and will never have to suffer hardship meeting their personal ones!

Maybe it's because "congress is acting on their grievances, on their behalf". Yea, right. Their sole purpose is to give as much time as possible for things to cool down. And to pass some law(s) that look real good on the surface but essentially leaves the status quo in fact. They NEED the big bucks to get re-elected and to continue to live the big life, so they're not about to upset things and jeopardize their comforts.
