because the way this entire thread went I want to make clear that neither did I say that VOM is selling my customer data nor do I think that do it. My question was about linking information from two different databases together, the server log and the customer record. In Germany we have strict laws about that and in many cases linking is not allowed. Of course, companies do this here, notheless. As long as nobody can proove it....

Anyway, thanks for your explanation. It confirms what I've heard from a different source.
