Hi Kevin,
Checkout the VFPCOMM utility for VFP from Microsoft. It has the RSToCUrsor() method for copying recordsets to cursors. Just do a 'copy to' to copy to a file.
There's just a few issues we learned though. You cannot copy memo fields and you get problems calling it more than once in a row.
