What I do is use a command sql base Mysql, for both vfp desktop apps and the web, that way the data doen't have to be syncd or imported. etc.
for the web, I use PHP scripting, which has most of the necessary hooks right in PHP language itself.
Also I am starting to use Codecharge which really helps out writing my php scripts and html, Sort of like a wizard for a web app, and you as a programmer choose what language that its written in PHP , ASP , jsp or perl....
