Title:
Query and the run time libraries
Hi there
I had VFP 5.0 installed on a PC and ran a query that took forever to run and in the end it came up with Not enough space on the disk. After I installed Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 3 to upgrade to VFP 5.0a, the query ran almost immediately.
But the problem is that the query needs to run from an application on PCs that don't have VFP installed - only the run time libraries.
I have copied over the following files into c:\windows\system (on a PC that doesn't have VFP installed on it): vfp500.dll, vfp5enu.dll, vfpodbc.dll, vfpole50.dll .
The query still doesn't work. I tried registering these .dlls but I'm getting:
"c:\windows\system\vfp500.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of c:\windows\system\vfp500.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it".
Does anyone know what files should I copy over and register in order to have the query work on machines that don't have VFP 5 installed.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Severus
