Sergey,
You're right. I see the exact same behaviour. When I came accross this issue yesterday, I didn't have a BAK file for a program that I modified. That's why I started investigating and found that there seems to be no way to set the "[x] Make a backup copy" option. However, I failed to notice that VFP still makes a backup copy irrespective of this setting.
Thanks for confirming.
>Here's what I found (VFP7 SP1)
>- Make a backup copy is on by default for .PRG files but "Make a backup copy" checkbox is not checked in the properties dialog for individual file. You cannot turn it off for an individual .PRG file.
>- The global settings of "Make a backup copy" on IDE tab with "Apply for PRG files" and "[x] override individual settings" allows to turn it on or off. However "Make a backup copy" checkbox is not checked in the properties dialog for individual file even if it acyualy turned on.
