Howdy,
I'm typing this from memory, but here goes.
The way I got it to work is set up the working folders you want for each of your developers, it may be on their local machines or a shared network drive. Make sure your source control provider is set under the options in VFP. Make the working folder the default and under the file menu select Join Source Control project. Select the project you wish to use from the dialog provided and it should make a local copy of the project file. This is what each developer will use as their copy.
