Thanks Steve.. I decided to devote my energies to building a FOxPro File Server rather than try to figure out what is going on behind the sceens between the client and server. This will also give me a lot more flexibility in the applications I build. As for SQL server, call me cheap but I still believe that we have the best database engine going that just needs a better vehicle to run in.
