Jerry;
Now if creating software really made you a “Software Engineer” (a ridiculous term) then the “technology god” would have allowed you to create the dreams of your client without regard to social or moral consequences.
A true engineer is one who sits in a dark closet with the door closed. When management has a job for him/her, they open the door quickly, throw in the request, turn on the light bulb and slam the door. The engineer then wakes up and becomes like a little kid at Christmas time. Nothing will get into the way of a true engineer providing a solution to a problem. It is the ego that must be satisfied first and foremost. Solve the problem and you are complete as a “professional”. Just what the world needs – another success story from an engineer!
