>HP was an interesting company until the present group of management changed the “culture” from “The HP Way” to “Anyway”.
First of all, the identifying the "culture" of a business in a superfast past market and the hesitation to change that "culture" to stay in touch with the industry is believer talk if you ask me. It would be nice to rest on what you know, but thats simply not possible.
Further, you have to remember that HP isn't only trying to survive here, they're trying to become leaders, and of all the possible paths the company could take that I've read about, this is definitly the best, if not only, way to do both.
>HP will get screwed with the merger – Compaq is a dead horse. HP’s CEO needs to get a life and learn how to become a human.
Can you explain this? Perhaps, with some convincing evidence? Carly does present herself as a professional while she's at work, if thats what you're getting at, but I don't see anything wrong with that.
