Title:
Random label printing behavior
A client application prints 6 to a page mailing labels. This is a VFP6 application running on NT4. They use networked HP printers. The labels printed without problem for over a year. The programming and label form have not changed.
Recently, the users reported occasional problems described as "addresses printing up", or "out of whack". I could not find a problem and requested samples but they did not send until today.
I have never seen anything like this. On one sample page row 1 is fine, and row 2 col 1 is fine, but row 2 col 2 prints 1.5" higher (at the top of the label) as does row 3 col 1. Row 3 col 2 is fine. There are a number of sample pages and there is no consistency, except that they either print correctly or print 1.5" above - but not the same row by row.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!
Eleanor
