Hi All,
I think I once read a thread under the VFOX forum where Rick Strahl of West Wind Technologies mentioned that he would re-install Windows NT like once or twice a year to get some kind of performance gain.
I've been trying unsuccessfully to find another reference to the benefits of re-installing NT on my servers periodically, so I'll toss it out here and see if anyone bites...
Is there any type of benefit of performance gain from periodically re-installing NT 4.0 on a Server? If there is a worthwhile benefit to this, can you just install 4.0 overtop of existing OS? OR do you have to essentially start from scratch (install OS, SP's, Apps, Services, etc.)?
TIA
