When I post a query very often the first response I get will not be the answer to the problem.

However because it now has a reply many of the folks who could answer it will no bother looking at it.

I think there is a desperate requirement for the thread owner to be able indicate that a solution is still required.

This is a simple job since it only requires the addition of a new message option.

"Mark thread not solved"

Using the word 'Solved' or 'Solution' instead of answer also clears up the confusion that occurs in English regarding the words Answer and Reply.


"Threads that didnt get an answer in the last 10 days"

this becomes

"Threads that didnt get a solution in the last 10 days"


Then all is required is a little bit extra code to cope with the new Solution Flag. Obviously threads that have not been replied to have not yet been solved so they should appear in the list as well.

If we wanted to do a little more work we could indicate the unsolved threads in the main thread display window by showing them in a different color or placing a question mark icon next to them. However this is not quite as essential.


I think this very small amount of work would have very BIG benefits in UT and should go to the top of the wish list.
