Hi Winan,

I changed my outlook express mail account so I could test it in a local setting. The name of my linux box is mail. My local email address on the linux server would be smvfp@mail. I use the local IP address of my linux mail server in all my outlook express mail clients for both the outgoing SMTP and incoming POP3 deliveries, so I have 192.168.1.78 for both incoming SMPT and Outgoing POP3. I sent a message to myself and then picked it up locally. Everything worked fine in the local setting and I'm using the same sendmail.cf configuration I gave you earlier. I can't figure out what the difference is between our two systems. Also, I can use a outlook express MAPI configuration instead of POP3 to access my mail, so all mail remains on the server instead of being downloaded to the computer on which the email client resides. It work with my sendmail.cf configuration as well.

Just out of curiousity, can you ping your linux box using netBIOS name instead of IP address like:

ping linux_srv1
