I have developed a billing system which is multiuser with windows
PEER-to-PEER network. And bill no. is candidate index.
And Bill no. is generated incrementally and file is open exclusive
just before appending the record and close after saving.

But it is observed that duplicate bill no. is generated and the
database container is damaged regularly. I have to validate the
database container and remove the duplicate record and then
reindex as candidate. Please suggest some solutions so that
database container is not damaged.
