Hi All,
I've got a quick question about the Phoenix Devcon. I have attended three in the past (2 in Toledo, 1 in Orlando), but never in Phoenix. Is it worth staying at the main hotel - their prices are steep ($150/night). I called the conference hotline, and they weren't much help - they give me two hotels about 10 miles away. Renting a car will cost about $130 for the length of time, so it would be less
expensive to stay closer.
I guess the main question is - are their any hotels in the immediate (walking distance/shuttle) area that would be less expensive (but still nice to stay in)? In the past at previous Devcon's they have always done a good job with free shuttles from area hotels, more listings, etc. The company that is sponsoring this conference doesn't seem very organized.
Also, I would me interested in sharing a room with another
individual, if possible. Then, I wouldn't mind staying at the Princess (my company is paying the way). Plus, I enjoy staying at the nicer hotels occassionally (that way I get to use the whirlpool, sauna, etc.)
