Could it be a case of improper character encoding at the client side?

>>>Since a while, my Visual FoxPro application returns some junk value for the MESSAGE() when there is an error. So, the following ÃüÁîÖк¬Óв»ÄÜʶ±ðµÄ¶ÌÓï»ò¹Ø¼ü×Ö¡£ is an example of what I got. This is like that since a few days. So, I can't know the cause of the error anymore.

>>Garbaged language file? (VFP7RENU.DLL). Is this so only for message()? Do you have some other "strange" issues with system messages or functions returning internal information? What about AERROR()? Under what operating system? What default locale in it? Do you use config.fpw? If so - what is it contents?
