They announced Enron "donated" $14 million to Chaney. Then Ken Lay declared bankruptcy. A few days later Lay sold a home he owns in Aspen for $10 million. I suggested Chaney bought it. I feel so bad for Lay and his like -they only have a few million here and there and have to change their life style to accommodate their new economic position. Lays wife was on television being interviewed and “devastated” over their new economic problems.

Sure beats being homeless but I am sure Lay does not think so.

As for the people truly affected by all this – so what? In the words of Maria Antoinette, “Let them eat cake”, or from Pat Nixon, “Let them eat bread”! Maria lost her head and Pat lost her mind. Little comfort to anyone.
