I have verified that both the SQLServerAgent service and the MSSQL service are using an account that has access to the network resource. Up to this point I have been using the Maintenance Wizard but it doesn't seem to want me to be able to access anything but local drives. I suppose If it is just the Maintenace Wizard then I'll have to write my own SPs.
