I considered that when I wrote FRX2Word. I also considered a lot of other formatting functions to take advantage of things that are in Word that aren't in VFP reports. In fact, in the first few revisions, FRX2Word was actually
smarter that the VFP report engine about things like placement of group footers and summary lines.
However, the goal was to emulate the exact behavior of the VFP report engine as much as possible so that someone could take an existing report, unmodified, and create Word documents. So I shied away from enhancements that would deviate from that goal.
