>>>Perhaps the printer is having trouble feeding the labels?
>>
>>Its a laser printer and it feeds properly . . . no jams, tugs - nice and smooth. The label form is set up for 6 labels to an 8.5 x 11 page.
>>
>>When a sheet runs the first two (row 1) may be OK, then on the second row one label will be fine, but the one next to it is printed too high by 1.5 ". The behavior on the third row could be any combination of in place or 1.5" higher. It's as if the label definition is a morph of 6 to a page and 12 to a page.
>>
>>This label form / program ran for a very long time with no problem. This behavior is intermittent.

Yes. The printers are the same, but they have been doing massive updates for Notes, SAP, etc. They use SMS and regularly blow users out of the water by reloading standard font folders, wiping out "non-standard" ( but legitimately needed by the user) software files, overwriting .dlls with different versions (older/newer), etc.
