Hi Olav,
I haven't ideas to solve the problem, but I can say you're not the only one with this GPF, I've a GPF too after a preview of report, and I've found that the GPF happens if I do a =SET("PRINTER", 2), I've already post a message (about 2 month ago) but I've no answer.

On the 500 record in a grid ... if you're on a Novell network you'll have a problem on the lock ( by default you cannot lock more than 500 records). I don't know if this can tell you something.
