Personally, I would choos Palm. It's a very simple platform for very simple uses. I probably would use software on it such as ThinkDB which allows you to tranfer your data to a PC in a format that can be easily imported into Fox. ThinkDB also allows you to set up simple data models complete with forms for entry on the Palm. However, there was an article in the April 2000 issue of Fox Advisor that described how to port Fox Data to a Windows CE device.

If you undertake programming the Palm (and don't go with ThinkDB) you have a lot of choices. You can find ways to write Palm programs in C++, Java, Basic, and even SmallTalk (haven't found any XBase yet).
